Jackie Chan to help launch Hong Kong Airlines’ service to YVR
Jackie Chan, the international movie and pop star, will be in Vancouver later this month to help launch Hong Kong Airlines flights to North America.
Chan, who has appeared in more than 150 movies, will be on board the airline’s first flight from Hong Kong to Vancouver on Friday, June 30. The flight kicks off the carrier’s daily, non-stop service between YVR and Hong Kong International Airport.
“With nearly 400,000 Canadians traveling to Hong Kong each year, we are thrilled to be able to offer direct access to the world-class city that is Hong Kong,” George Liu, chief marketing officer for the airline, said in a news release.
Hong Kong Airlines is Hong Kong’s second-largest airline, serving more than 30 destinations in the Asia-Pacific.
Flights between Vancouver and Hong Kong will be on an A330-200 Airbus. Passengers can expect service in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
